HARP - Healthy and Active Rehabilitation Programme
The Activity for Health Team is a partnership between South Ayrshire Council, NHS Ayrshire and Arran and South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
They offer activities including:
- Invigor8 Falls Prevention Programme for over 60s
- Cardiac classes
- Stroke classes
- HARP – Healthy and Active Rehabilitation Programme (for people with cardiac, stroke, cancer, pulmonary and diabetic medical history)
- Weigh to go Ayrshire – healthy weight programme including information sessions and exercise
- Macmillan Move More – exercise classes, walking and other activities for people living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis

HARP is a programme of exercise classes to assist people with heart, lung, cancer, diabetes or stroke medical history to improve or maintain their health through regular physical activity.
For anyone with cardiac, stroke or complex medical history, you can be referred by a health professional. Anyone else can self-refer by contacting the number below,
Classes are £3 each time you attend. There is also a membership called Activity for Health which is £20 per month and allows access to the specialised classes like HARP as well as gym, swim, some Leisure classes and more.
